Butters was my cat of 20 years who I grew up with since I was an infant. This website is dedicated to sharing facts about him and little things I noticed about him throughout the years.
Butters loved to sunbathe in any sliver of sunlight that came through our windows. Since we live in front of another building, it can be hard to see outside from one end of our home. But every sunny day, he would sit on the bed and bask in the sunlight.
Butters was very wary with new people, he only trusted those who he saw everyday and would only trust newcomers who we would introduce slowly to him. If not, he’d hiss! Which is very rare coming from him. Not even my brother in law gained his trust. He would pet him too much.
Every morning, Butters will meow loudly and scratch at my bedroom door to wake me up for food! When it’s open and im still asleep, he’ll paw at my hair to wake me up or even bite my nose (which usually works..) I either wake up with scratches or bites, but they were full of love.. and hunger
He always loved to sneak outside as soon as someone opens the front door, whether it's to get inside or outside of the apartment. Usually he walks through the hallways, but as soon as he heard a sound he’s unfamiliar with or the sound of dogs barking, he runs right back inside to hide.
